Sunday Snapshot: The Ferris Wheel on Santa Monica Pier

Sometimes, when you’re travelling you take a photo that you just want to share with the world – Sunday Snapshot is about doing exactly that.

I’m going to share one of my favourite travel photos with you every Sunday and tell you why it’s special to me.

This is one from Santa Monica Pier with the infamous Ferris Wheel in the background.

Santa Monica Pier was another place that was pretty high up on our LA bucket list and it was just as pretty as we thought it would be with an amazing beach to relax on once we’d finished our stroll to the end of the pier and back.

This photo makes me smile every time I look at it as it’s pretty much the closest we got to the famous Ferris wheel – despite being willing to go to the top of the Empire State Building and the Top of the Rock, there was no way this girl was getting on that Ferris wheel.

I’m not a Ferris wheel fan myself but it’s one of those things I wanted to do just so I could say I’d done it when I see it in films and on TV.

Oh well, at least I can say I stood and looked at it from a distance. 😉
